Server Requirements
Hosting your shop on our servers
We recommend you hosting your shop on our fast servers located at Cologne, DE.
In this case you have absolutely nothing to worry about as our servers are already preconfigured to run our software.
Third party hosting
However, you can decide to host our software on any suitable third party hosting as well.
In this case we'll be happy to install the software for you but you must make sure that the hosting meets certain requirements.
PHP must be already installed and running. This requirement is met by majority of hosting providers.
When using a shared hosting please make sure that PHP runs with following settings:
safe_mode - disabled
file_uploads - enabled
These settings are by default so you need to make sure that the provider has not changed them.
MySql database must be already installed and running. We have tested our software on MySql version 4.0.18 and higher. InnoDB support must be enabled. These requirement are met by majority of hosting providers.
Our software takes advantage of InnoDB database engine with full transaction support, with commit, rollback and crash recovery capabilities to ensure full data consistency, even if hardware fails.
Therefore InnoDB engine must be enabled in your MySql installation.
This requirement is met by majority of hosting providers.
Our software is protected against piracy by IonCube encoder. This means that the free IonCube loader is reqired in order to run it.
We recommend hosting our software on a server with full root access like a dedicated server or a VPS server. In this case we'll install the IoneCube loader on your VPS or dedicated server at no extra charge.
A VPS server is an affordable alternative to a dedicated server. The VPS server prices start now from just $10/month, just search Google with "VPS hosting" or "virtuozzo hosting" and you'll find a lot of them. Average prices are between $12 and $30 per month.
Alternatively a shared hosting with preinstalled IonCube loader can be also used.
This library is used for thumbnail generation. This requirement is met by majority of hosting providers.
If run on Apache web server, our software can take advantage of the mod_rewrite module in order to generate static aliases for your dynamic pages. This will greatly improve search engine ranking of your site. The mod_rewrite module is installed by default by majority of hosting providers.
